A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Salt Barge. This along with the décor and character of the establishment has been created by the new owner’s long term friends Dermot and Spencer.
Our ideals are based on good honest home cooked food served to a consistently high standard. To complement the excellent food, we offer an excellent choice of wines, beers and real cask ales.
The restaurant has four main areas consisting of thirty five tables offering excellent facilities for party bookings.
The bar area has pool, darts and dominoes plus many photographs and memorabilia associated with the history of salt production and the Trent and Mersey canal. There is also a tribute to local author Sally Spencer.
